Installation instructions

  1. Upload the plugin ZIP in WordPress admin under Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin.
  2. Activate Apex SEO Intelligence.
  3. Open the Apex SEO Intelligence admin menu.
  4. Connect Google Search Console using the broker OAuth flow.
  5. Select a verified property and load dashboard data.
  6. Use exports or recommendations as needed; the plugin does not automatically change SEO settings.

Google Search Console connection flow

1. Start from WordPress

The user clicks Connect Google inside the Apex SEO Intelligence admin page. WordPress sends the user to the dedicated broker start route.

2. Approve Google access

Google asks the user to approve read-only Search Console access for the selected account.

3. Return through broker callback

The broker receives the OAuth callback, exchanges the code, and creates a short-lived pickup token.

4. Store and refresh token

WordPress exchanges the pickup token, stores the refresh token locally, and uses refresh requests to load Search Console metrics.

Production OAuth broker: Apex Digital OAuth service. Callback path: /oauth/callback.

Demo walkthrough

  1. Open the live demo page.
  2. Review SEO Score, clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position.
  3. Inspect CTR opportunities and priority pages.
  4. Review revenue opportunities and rule-based insights.
  5. Use Export CSV or Export PDF to test report outputs.

Security and privacy explanation

Read-only Google scope

The plugin requests Search Console read access so it can display performance reports. It does not modify Search Console data.

Local token storage

Refresh tokens are stored in the WordPress database for the connected site and can be cleared with Disconnect.

Isolated OAuth client

Apex SEO Intelligence uses its own OAuth client and broker path. It is isolated from other Apex Digital credentials, redirects, and domains.

No public login required

The reviewer demo does not use Google authentication and does not collect reviewer credentials.
